Apr 29: Grotte de Clamouse

 Following our ramble in and around St. Guilhem, we headed down the road to the two other sites in the area, Pont du Diable and Grotte de Clamouse.

The Grotte experience was pretty amazing; a 90 min tour through a series of caves with countless stalactite and stalagmite formations of varying crystalline accretions. These photos present only a taste. The 4 photos with pink and fuchsia were part of a very brief light show that accompanied piped-in classical music, a piece titled for the Grotte by a famous French composer.  The rest of the photos reflect the lighting in the cave, which cycles on and off as people enter and exit each "room", with no flash photography allowed.)
